What is fascia?
Fascia is the network of connective tissue that surrounds and connects all structures in the body — muscles, bones, organs and nerves. Fascia accounts for more than a third of the musculoskeletal system and is central to shock absorption, movement and recovery. When fascia becomes tight or develops adhesions, it can lead to pain, reduced mobility and compensatory movement patterns.
The treatment process
A fascia treatment with the Fascia Horse method includes: 1. Movement assessment — The therapist observes the horse in motion to identify compensation patterns and tensions. 2. Palpation — Manual examination of the fascia network to locate tensions and adhesions. 3. Deep wave therapy — Treatment with the Atlasbalans machine to release deep fascia layers. 4. Manual treatment — Complementary manual techniques for superficial fascia layers. 5. Follow-up — Movement assessment after treatment and recommendations for continued care.
